First Generation College Student Event

Tuesday, November 8, 2022
5:30 PM - 7:00 PM Central Standard Time
Location: Reinhart Center

Description:

Prospective first-generation college students and their families are invited to learn more about Viterbo University and the different supports available to all our students. When it comes to making the decision to head off to college, we understand that there are many questions and concerns for the whole family when the first person decides to attend college. Viterbo wants to aid in the process and make the college experience more accessible for all types of students. The events check-in will start at 5:30 PM, once checked in students, guests, and family will be invited to join us for a complimentary meal. Participants will hear from first-generation university members and their personal experiences, learn about different campus resources that are here to support them over the years, and ask current students about their own experiences of being first-gen at Viterbo, along with a few more surprises that are planned! We are thrilled to be hosting this event and cannot wait for you to learn more about Viterbo!

Not sure if you classify as a first-generation college student? Typically, a first-generation college student is someone who grew up in a home where both parents did not attend a four-year college, where only one parent has an Associate’s degree, or where one or both parents attempted some college but did not finish it.

Please click the blue "Register" button at the bottom of the screen to register for Viterbo University’s First-Generation Student Night!

We will send you an email confirming your registration. Closer to the event, we will send you a detailed itinerary, directions, and parking information.
